There’s a time and a place for a good drop of vintage Burgundy or a glass of craft beer. Yet, let’s face it, there’s something alluring, and charismatic even, about a cocktail. Whether you like the classics such as an Old Fashioned served in a thick-rimmed glass with large chunks of ice and a slice of orange or perhaps throwback cocktails such as Margaritas or a Long Island Ice Tea. Either way, cocktails can be transporting, and not just because they are high in alcohol content. To celebrate World Cocktail Day, we’ve featured a round-up of the brightest shooting stars in our neighbourhood. Chink…
Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals
Welcome to the 1800s, where you’ll find turn of the century charm, done well. Mr Fogg’s, you’ll find a huge collection of exotic flora and fauna, serving botanical-inspired cocktails. Simply dare to follow the tree trunk up the spiral staircase at The House of Botanicals to discover a remarkable flora and fauna-filled hideaway upstairs, and better still, in the heart of Fitzrovia. The perfect backdrop for those who appreciate floral elegance in both their surroundings, and cocktails.
In addition to standard cocktails, Mr Fogg’s also offers teapot cocktails inspired by exotic plants and botanicals, created in-house by their talented in-house botanists. Served in quaint Victorian teacups, alongside plant-based sweet and savoury treats and served inside a flora and foliage birdcage. A memorable location that out-of-town clients will love. (Cocktail delivery is also possible if you’d prefer to enjoy your drinks at home or in the park.)

A lively spot with pockets of quiet secluded corners. Whereas Mr Fogg’s quaint and quirky appeal may be for some, for those looking for an art deco sophisticated spot for a slurp, head over to the plush velvets and polished rose gold edges for some seriously stylish sipping. During the 1930s, Manetta’s was a popular place for the movers and shakers in literature and the arts. The clientele might have changed a wee bit over time, but the ambiance still lives on, making Manetta one of our favourite Mayfair cocktail bars.

The Rivoli Bar at The Ritz
Need we say more. I’m sure many of you frequent The Ritz when the mood arises, yet we had to mention The Rivoli as it is destined to be on 180s Top 3 list. Not only is it on the same road as 180, but we all know that The Rivoli is guaranteed to impress, and in their words, not ours, “create the impression of walking into a golden jewellery box”. A stunning and intimate cocktail lounge with all the dazzle and shizzle yet forever that little oasis away from the bustling London Mayfair streets, that we all know and love.
One of the things we love about The Ritz is their friendly bar tenders will always mix up a cocktail of your choice or impress you with one of their own mouth-watering creations, that matched with their classic dining, what’s not to love.
